Adrienne Krause

(She/her)

A bit about me,

Hi! I’m Adrienne, a Provisionally Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I am also a mother, a wife, a dog lover, an avid book collector (working on the reading part…), a sweaty pursuit enthusiast, and a lifelong learner.

I began the journey to becoming a therapist by obtaining my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at the University of Calgary, with a focus in family and gender studies. I had always felt a certain calling to be a Psychologist, but had long doubted my ability to achieve that dream, and had bundled it away somewhere in my heart where dreams go to rest. After some years, I found I was not feeling fulfilled and passionate about the path I was walking. I applied to the Masters of Art in Counselling Psychology degree through Yorkville University, and during my degree I took on an eye opening and deeply important role as a Child and Youth Care Counsellor, working with at risk youth in a specialized facility in Calgary. My passion was reignited, and I felt the sense of purpose I had been seeking.

I completed my practicum through the Calgary Counselling Centre where much like my work with youth, I found a passion for working with people who “don’t fit the mold”.

I aim to be the therapist who finds out who you are, and breaks the hard stuff to you gently. I am glad you’re here.
